By clue 1, the three teams in the American Division are the A-1 Hardware
team, the Tigers, and the team coached by Al; while by clue 15, the three
teams in the National Division are the Mets and the squads coached by Chad
and Mr. Jones--so all six Midget League teams are named between the two
clues. By clue 4, the two most senior coaches are Ben and the coach of
the Dodgers with 10 and 12 years experience. Neither is then Mr. Jones,
who is in his 1st year of coaching (clue 15). The Dodgers coach also isn't
Al (6) or Chad (12), so Dodgers is the nickname of the A-1 Hardware team.
Ben also isn't Jones (4, 15) and doesn't coach the Mets (11); he is coach of
the little Tigers. By clue 7, the Rangers coach has more experience than
Coach Jones; the Rangers' coach isn't Chad (12) and is Al. Since Ben and
the Dodgers coach have the most coaching longevity (4) and Jones is a
rookie (15), in clue 7, either Chad coaches the Tee It Up Pro Shop or the
Tee It Up Pro Shop team is the Mets--by clue 11, Chad coaches that team.
By clue 5, Chad's team is the White Sox and Jones coaches the Yankees.
Since Ed isn't the most experienced coach (10), Ed doesn't manage the A-1
Dodgers; nor does Frank, since he coaches the Moose Lodge 007 team (8).
Dave coaches the A-1 Hardware Dodgers. By clue 2, Frank's Moose Lodge
007 team is the Mets, while Jones is Ed. By clue 9, the Yankees are
sponsored by Dr. Spine Chiropractors. Mets manager Frank isn't Lemon,
Knox (8), Gomez, or Ingles (13) and is Hardy. By clue 10, Ingles has the
next least experience to Ed. Ingles isn't Ben or Dave, who have the most
(4). Ingles also can't be Rangers coach Al, who has more experience than
Chad and Ed (7). Ingles is Chad. By clue 14, Coach Knox is Al. He
coaches the Chuck Wagon Restaurant team (3), with Ben coach of the Valley
Toyota Tigers. Finally, by clue 6, Dave is Lemon and Ben Gomez. In sum,
the six Summerset Midget League teams and their coaches are
- A-1 Hardware Dodgers, Dave Lemon
- Chuck Wagon Restaurant Rangers, Al Knox
- Dr. Spine Chiropractors Yankees, Ed Jones
- Moose Lodge 007 Mets, Frank Hardy
- Tee It Up Pro Shop White Sox, Chad Ingles
- Valley Toyota Tigers, Ben Gomez
