From the introduction, the original 10 contestants on "Dancing with the
Celebs" were eliminated one per weekly show until a winner was declared. In
each of clues 1, 5, and 10, eliminated contestants are named in three sets
in consecutive order. Since George isn't West (clue 8) and Sophie isn't the
TV chef (13), there is no overlap between clues 1 and 5. Since neither
Rowe (4) nor George (23) is the country music artist and since Lisa isn't
Rowe (4) and isn't the TV chef (16), there is no overlap between clues 1 and
10. Since Lisa isn't West (8) and Sophie isn't the country music artist (13),
there is no overlap between clues 5 and 10. In each of clues 1, 5, and 10,
then, three consecutive eliminations with none of the dancers in common among
them are listed: George, Rowe, and the TV chef
in clue 1; Sophie, the bullrider, and West in clue 5; and Lisa, Newman, and
the country music artist in clue 10. In some order, the three in one clue
must be the 1st-3rd eliminated, the three in another clue must be the 4th-6th
eliminated, and the three in the other clue must be the 7th-9th sent home,
with the 10th person the winner. By clue 25, the last four celebs in the
contest were Dave, Jason, Woods, and the romance novelist in some order.
If the three in clue 1 had been the 7th-9th sent home, with George 7th, Rowe
8th, and the TV chef 9th, since Woods isn't George or the TV chef (15), Woods
in clue 25 would have won "Dancing with the Celebs"--no (6). If the three in
clue 5 had been the 7th-9th sent home, with Sophie 7th, the bullrider 8th,
and West 9th, since Jason isn't West or the bullrider (14), Jason in clue 25
would have won the contest. However, given clue 9, there is no way Dave in
clue 25 can fit this arrangement. Therefore, the three in clue 10 were the
7th-9th sent home, with Lisa 7th, Newman 8th, and the country music artist
9th. Since Newman isn't Dave or the romance novelist (11), Newman must Jason
in clue 25. Since Woods didn't win "Dancing ..." (6) and isn't Lisa (16),
Woods in clue 25 is the country singer. By elimination, then, Lisa is the
romance novelist; and Dave won the event. Either the three in clue 1 or the
three in clue 5 were 4th-6th eliminated with the other then 1st-3rd. If
the three in clue 1 had been the 4th-6th sent home, with George 4th, Rowe
5th, and the TV chef 6th, the three in clue 5 would have been sent home
1st-3rd, with Sophie 1st, the bullrider 2nd, and West 3rd. However, since
George isn't Ashford (23), there is no way for clue 17 to work given this
arrangement. Therefore, the three in clue 5 were sent home 4th-6th, with
Sophie 4th, the bullrider 5th, and West 6th; while the three in clue 1 were
the 1st-3rd sent home, with George 1st, Rowe 2nd, and the TV chef 3rd.
Since Sophie isn't Kershaw (18), by clue 3, George is the soap opera star,
Maria sings oper, and the TV chef is Kershaw. Since Ashford isn't the
bullrider (22), by clue 17, Nick is the bullrider, the game show host is
West, and Ashford is Lisa. Sophie is the magazine editor and Nick Cassidy
(19). Forbes didn't win the contest (20) and isn't the magazine editor
(7); Forbes is George. Dixon isn't the magazine editor (7) and is then
Dave; Sophie is Steele. Maria isn't the basketball player (12). By clue
24, then, Jason is the basketball player and Sandra is Woods. Dave Dixon
isn't the political commentator (2) and is the stand-up comic, with Maria
the political commentator. By clue 21, Celia is West and Harry the TV chef.
In sum, the results of this year's "Dancing with the Celebs" are, in order
of being sent home to the contest winner
- 1st - George Forbes, soap opera star
- 2nd - Maria Rowe, political commentator
- 3rd - Harry Kershaw, TV chef
- 4th - Sophie Steele, magazine editor
- 5th - Nick Cassidy, bullrider
- 6th - Celia West, game show host
- 7th - Lisa Ashford, romance novelist
- 8th - Jason Newman, basketball player
- 9th - Sandra Woods, country music artist
- Winner - Dave Dixon, stand-up comic
