Word Square 14 is a 6x6 grid into which the letters in the word PITCH have been written so that each letter occurs once and only once in each row and column of the square. The letters may or may not be scrambled in a row or column, and a space appears somewhere in each row and column to fill the grid. An example of a Word Square with the word HELPS is

 123456
L S H  E P
H  E P S L
E H  L P S
 P S E L H
S L P H  E
P E L S H

Given the clues about letter and space locations that follow, you should be able to solve our PITCHy (thank you, Randy Jackson) Logic Puzzle by reconstructing Word Square 14. (Note: Letter locations are given without regard to the spaces; for example, the 3rd letter in column 1 would mean the letter in either the 3rd or 4th row, depending on where the space is located in column 1.)

  1. Across row 1, I is to the immediate right of H.
  2. T is the 1st letter down column 6.
  3. The space in row 2 isn't in column 6.
  4. The 4th letter across row 3 isn't H.
  5. C is the 1st letter across row 3.
  6. The 5th letter down column 2 is I.
  7. P is the 4th letter across row 2.
  8. In row 4, first T and then C are in adjacent cells.
  9. Down column 3, the H in one row is followed by I in the next row.
  10. The 5th letter down column 4 is H.
  11. I is the 1st letter across row 5.
  12. The space in row 5 isn't in column 3.
  13. C is the 1st letter down both columns 2 and 5.
  14. In column 1, I is in an earlier row than H.
